How it works

From “what's estimated?” to “what to verify first?” before you spend.

Most energy advice is generic, paywalled, or trying to sell you something. Live today: a free estimated Health Score (public data + quick inputs), Passport evidence labels, and Architect concept-stage handoff. Portfolio multi-home is an illustrative demo plus a founder-led pilot — not certification and not self-serve multi-home SaaS.

The 3-part system

Estimated Health Score → known / estimated / missing → next high-impact facts to verify. No black box. Not an EPC.

📊

Score (0–100)

6 scored areas — envelope, heating, ventilation, hot water, solar, and storage & grid — combined into one clear number. No letter grades; every improvement counts.

Data: public EPC where available; site PVGIS when coordinates exist; UK-average solar fallbacks when site data is missing (labelled)

Incentives & Grants

We surface relevant incentives where reliable local data exists, and we label gaps clearly where regional support is still partial.

A step-by-step plan with indicative bill impact, comfort context, and carbon reduction — with guardrails for sequencing. Insulate before you size a heat pump. Review storage and export assumptions before acting.

Why this isn't another EPC tool

Beyond EPC A

Government ratings stop at A. Our 0–100 Health Score also reflects generation, storage, and flexibility readiness — always labeled estimated until verified. Not a promise of export income or programme enrolment.

Continuous, not stepped

EPC uses letter bands with cliff edges. We use smooth scoring curves and published component weights so small fabric improvements move the score continuously — not letter cliffs. Curves still encode modelling assumptions; site-specific physics (e.g. measured U-values) may be missing and is labelled estimated until verified.

Open methodology

Methodology, major assumptions, published score weights, and known limits are documented. Not every internal formula or private research source is open yet — we publish what we claim, and we label estimates and missing data.

Evidence hierarchy, not hype counts

Public methodology prioritises government publications, formal standards (including SAP/RdSAP and planned HEM), peer-reviewed research, field trials, and named professional review — with transparent source dates. Media is discovery input only, not a headline trust claim.

How we improve safely

Evolving Home runs automated nightly checks on improvement proposals so inaccurate or hype-filled suggestions are caught before approved changes go live. Major methodology updates need human review — we do not silently rewrite how your indicative score works.

Your Passport stays yours

Your home facts live in your Passport. We do not use your data to train public models.

Nightly automated checks

Every night we run automated accuracy checks on proposed copy and claims before suggestions are promoted.

Quality guardrails

Hype phrases, missing evidence, and overconfident claims are blocked from promotion.

Humans approve big changes

Methodology and scoring changes need human review. We do not auto-change how your indicative score works.

Indicative Health Score methodology evolves under automated guardrails and human review.
